Last updated: 18/1/2025.
This document constitutes the Terms of Use and Liability (the “Terms”) governing the use of the parking, locking, and charging stations operated by Charge&Lock (Connvest Rise LTD) (the “Company”).
Use of the stations and/or acceptance of these Terms through the application constitutes the User’s full, informed, and irrevocable agreement to all provisions set forth herein.
-
Purpose of the Stations and Permitted Use
1.1 The stations are intended solely for the parking, locking, and charging of privately owned electric bicycles and electric scooters.
1.2 Any other use of the stations, including parking of vehicles not listed above, commercial use, or any use that deviates from the intended purpose of the stations, is strictly prohibited. -
Electrical Charging – Permitted Voltages
2.1 The stations may be used for charging only at the following voltage levels: 24V, 36V, 48V, 60V, or charging at 220V AC using the vehicle’s original, manufacturer-approved charger, provided that the charger is placed inside the designated locked storage compartment (the compartment with the black front door of the station).
2.2 Charging devices operating at 12V, 18V, or any other voltage not listed above is prohibited, as is charging devices other than electric bicycles or electric scooters, or the use of damaged, non-compliant, or improvised equipment.
2.3 Users who are uncertain about their vehicle’s electrical voltage, battery compatibility, or charger suitability are requested to refrain from charging at the stations. The stations may be used for parking and locking only, without charging.
2.4 The User bears sole responsibility for ensuring that the vehicle, battery, and charger are compatible with the stations and comply with applicable safety standards. -
Locking and Security Features
3.1 The stations include a dedicated steel locking mechanism that enables physical attachment of the bicycle or scooter to the station and provides a significant layer of security.
3.2 In addition, the stations include a reinforced anchoring ring that allows Users to attach their own chain and/or lock, at their discretion, to provide an additional layer of security.
3.3 Users are advised to use high-quality, tamper-resistant locking devices. -
Station Location and Deterrence Measures
4.1 The Company makes reasonable efforts to locate the stations in well-lit areas with pedestrian traffic and public accessibility.
4.2 Where feasible, the Company may integrate video recording and/or surveillance cameras in the vicinity of the stations for deterrence purposes only.
4.3 It is clarified that the above does not constitute active guarding, continuous supervision, or personal monitoring of the vehicles. -
Insurance Disclaimer – No Safekeeping and No Insurance
5.1 The stations do not constitute a guarded facility, safekeeping service, storage service, or security service, and are not a substitute for a secured or supervised parking facility.
5.2 The Company does not provide any insurance, directly or indirectly, for bicycles, scooters, batteries, chargers, or related equipment, nor does it insure against damage, loss, theft, vandalism, property damage, or personal injury associated with the use of the stations.
5.3 Responsibility for obtaining insurance coverage for the vehicle, equipment, and personal property, if required or desired, rests solely with the User.
5.4 No representation, publication, security feature, or description of the stations shall be construed as an undertaking, warranty, or implication of insurance coverage, safekeeping, or guaranteed protection. -
Limitation of Liability
6.1 The User acknowledges and agrees that, despite the security measures provided, complete prevention of theft, vandalism, break-ins, or damage of any kind cannot be guaranteed.
6.2 Use of the stations is at the User’s sole risk.
6.3 Subject to applicable law and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company, its directors, officers, employees, and service providers shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or expense arising, inter alia, from criminal acts of third parties, improper use of the stations, malfunctions of the User’s equipment, or circumstances beyond the Company’s control. -
Suspension or Termination of Use
7.1 The Company reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate use of the stations or the application in the event of a violation of these Terms, unsafe or abnormal use, or for safety-related reasons. -
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
8.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, while respecting mandatory consumer protection provisions.
8.2 Jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or from use of the stations shall lie with the competent courts in Israel, unless applicable law provides for a jurisdiction that cannot be contractually excluded. -
